The first time you use We Could Even Tools with Engaging Networks, there's some extra setup you need to do. If you've done this before, you can skip this.
a) Enable subscription for Engaging Networks integration
In the Tools dashboard, go to Subscriptions in the left-hand menu.
Turn on the Engaging Networks integration.
We then need to do some manual setup before you can continue - we will email you once it's ready and you can continue on the steps below.
b) Create Engaging Networks permission group and API user
In Engaging Networks, go to Account Settings > Permission Groups. Create a new group called 'We Could Even Tools'. Edit permissions for Page and click Grant all permissions. Save the group.
Next in EN go to Account Settings > Users. Add a new API User.
For Remote Address, copy and paste the actual address (a series of letters, numbers and punctuation) from the We Could Even Tools dashboard - on the Subscriptions page click on Engaging Networks connection settings, see where it says 'Copy and paste this into the Remote Address field'
Please make sure to tick the box 'Page Processing should respect Remote Address'.
c) Save API Key in We Could Even Tools and test connection
Back on the We Could Even Tools dashboard - on the Subscriptions page in Engaging Networks connection settings, paste in the API User API Key from Engaging Networks.
Click the Update API key button
Then click the Test connection button to check it's working. If you run into problems here, you can reach out to us for support.
